A dutch initiative to activate ( jumpstart - flip the switch - turn the Spot ON ) kids in the city of Eindhoven. The people leading this voluntary initiative can and will no longer look the other way. They want to give the kids the tools they need to reach their full potential.
Spot ON is all about activating the children.
By creating Spot ON the volunteers a.k.a. the Spotters will be paired with children from the city to spend time together, doing a wide range of activities that align with what the child needs.
Not the physical tools (laptop, phone etc.) that one might think about at first thought, but the soft tools that one needs as much or even more than those physical tools. For instance - the cultural and societal knowledge one should know - growing your own confidence - to question ones surroundings and even themselves and many other things that one can learn from interacting with older members in society.
This initiative had reached the attention of many, including these three newspapers: Algemeens dagblad - Eindhovens dagblad - Studio 040

In a short span of time - around five working days I created the website, the branding and the video that is shown on the homepage. according to the content that was provided to me.
What I had in mind when making the website was to make the homepage as interesting as possible for children. All the while having the option to see for more information close at hand. More information for some of the children that might be interested in that, but mainly for the potential volunteers and of course the parents of the children. Of course the parents because they need to be convinced about the initiative as much as the children have to be excited by it.
The landingpage has an activating video aimed at the children.
Below the video we have a moving slider of the kids we have reached.
And that's enough talking about the project. I will let the website and the visuals speak for themselves from here on out.
The logo - with the power button to turn the Spot ON the kids.
The pattern I created using the 'power' icon to make more playful and energetic than just using a plain color for a background.
The team that made it all happen.
